Contaminated land assessment and remediation

Contaminated land assessment begins with the development and understanding of a conceptual site model, representing the relationship between contamination sources, exposure pathways and receptors. A good conceptual site model allows for prioritised and targeted data collection resulting in quicker investigation turnaround and cost benefits for our clients.
With over 17 years of contaminated land, groundwater and soil vapour remediation experience throughout the eastern states, we can provide the specialist advice required to redevelop or clean up your agricultural, commercial or industrial site. We work closely with our clients, their development team, contaminated land auditors and regulators to deliver pragmatic solutions to complex site contamination issues.
Property acquisition and divestment reports

Groundwater investigation and dewatering management

Effective groundwater management is critical during in-ground construction to minimise impacts to both program and budget. Our consultants have completed Dewatering Management Plans for over 100 construction, engineering and infrastructure projects throughout Queensland, NSW and the ACT.

Acid sulfate soil assessment and management

Acid sulfate soil investigations are often poorly designed and data misinterpreted, resulting in expensive and sometimes unnecessary blanket treatment rates on large development sites. Our Environmental Scientists have provided cost effective ASS management solutions for small and major land development projects throughout Queensland and New South Wales since 2002.

If your project is within an ASS landscape, Phase 3 can guide your team through the development process, from initial investigations and obtaining regulatory approvals, to management of all soil and water during the construction phase.

Ground gas monitoring and risk assessment

The investigation of ground gases and vapour intrusion has become a critical component of health risk assessment on contaminated sites. Our consultants have completed major projects for master planned communities and residential subdivision bounding closed putrescible waste and industrial landfills.
Our services comprise waste delineation and classification, the design of permanent and semi-permanent monitoring stations, and the development of ground gas, soil vapour and leachate monitoring programs. Landfill gas risk assessment is completed by our Environmental Scientists, establishing control measures to reduce risks to construction workers, future residents, built structures and the local environment.
On-site wastewater management

On-site wastewater management is required on sites that are not connected to a reticulated sewerage system. With diverse project experience including large scale residential subdivision, mining camps and ecotourism development in sensitive environments, you can trust PHASE 3 to design a practical wastewater solution for your site.
